About the Role

We’re looking for a Laravel intern to join our Product & Development team in Cyberjaya. You’ll work on real government and enterprise platforms that handle critical data — not just side projects. This role is for someone who’s comfortable figuring things out on their own, because we won’t be holding your hand. You’ll get a clear goal and the resources to reach it, but the path is yours to design.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain backend services using PHP and Laravel.
  • Work with Vue.js on the frontend, using Tailwind CSS and Bootstrap for UI.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries against MySQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Deploy and run applications in Docker containers, with some exposure to Kubernetes orchestration.
  • Troubleshoot Linux servers and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers who’ll review your code and give honest feedback, but you’ll be expected to self-teach and research solutions before asking.

We value practical skills over certificates. If you’ve built something on your own — even a small Laravel project — that counts more than a course completion badge.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of PHP and Laravel (MVC, Eloquent, middleware, routing).
  • Working knowledge of Vue.js (or a willingness to learn it quickly).
  • Comfortable with relational databases — writing joins, migrations, and indexing in MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with Docker basics (writing Dockerfiles, running containers).
  • Experience using Linux command line (SSH, file permissions, logs).
  • Able to work with minimal supervision — you know how to Google, read docs, and debug on your own.
  • Bonus: exposure to Kubernetes, GitLab CI, or AWS/GCP.
  • Must be a Malaysian citizen or have valid internship eligibility. Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or self-taught with a strong portfolio).
